Marvel Comics is continuing in its bid to steal the word "super-hero" from the public domain. Let's never use the term "super-hero" to describe a Marvel character. Let's call them "underwear perverts".

This was a shocker to me and this might actually be the main reason why PS3 will still give geeks a reason to tell their non-geek friends to buy it.

The comments on some of those links are also just as helpful as those links can be (this is why I will fight tooth to the nail (or however that phrase goes) to NOT have any Digg forums directly on the site because people will stop posting on diggs and post on the forums instead).

Aslo there are some EXTREMELY funny comments left on some diggs. The term 'undigg' and 'dugg' seemed to have come from the comments area of the many diggs that have been dugg.

(Unless I am wrong about that... but I m never wrong so...)

Apple and the major record labels have been cruising towards a confrontation over iTunes Music Store pricing for months now, and Warner get mean with Stevie J

I always hear about how the RIAA is doing this or the movie money suckers MPAA are doing that... mean while the downloaders of bittorrent and P2P use it and then... 'buy it later'... Here is what I wrote in the comments of this Digg story.

You guys need to get off your wallets. .99 cents for a song is not too much. Saying that you will only pay .50 for a song that AN ARTIST made is ridiculous. We know the music industry has costs and these costs are spread to all its artists; good and bad.

Now after saying all of that, yes the music and movie industry sucks ass hair balls. Their system is outdated. Business model outmoded.

They don't know how to come up with a music portal that will make money because of all the multiple contracts they have with multiple companies PER ARTIST. Just figuring out who to pay what to costs money for them.

They get Apple and now music players are the thing, but they want more cash. Instead of looking ugly at Apple, maybe they should come up with a way to:
Add more content (album art, videos, desktop skins,
Reduce costs and reorganize their business
Pull a 'U2' and sell special official iPod cases, Sony cases and others

They can make more, but they are way too willing to stay with the old ways of making money than venture off into new ways. Business as usual.

I see all these diggs about the RIAA and such, but no one is doing much about it other than going to a torrent or P2P and stealing it (yeah, I know... I listen to it and if I like it, I buy it... right 2,000 songs and you bought all 2000 of them, right?).

ANYway... half the songs will be open to everyone and the other half will be for purchase only. All songs are purchasable and downloadable. Same rule for video.

A MTV like bittorrent TV show will be produced, other free TV shows to follow.

Finally.... somone is actually DOING something about it... HUMPH!!!!

Easily identify what are the processes running on your PC. Just use this site to research the *.exe listed in your Task Manager.

This is SOOOO important its not even funny. I was looking for this but gave up after googling it, A9 searches, and yohooin it... yes I said yahooing it. What I like Yahoo.

Anyway, how many times have you wanted to knock out a process because it was taking too much memory or even virtual memory? The sran thing is eating up CPU cyles? Turn it off! (well at least find out if you CAN turn it off by using the link provided).

The Daily Telegraph reports that the New Superman movie, being directed by Bryan Singer, has topped $326 Million dollars--- making it more expensive then Titanic ($250 Million).

Why on Earth is this movie costing this much to build? I mean, come on!!!

Can you really count the 11 years of development time as part of the cost? I guess so, but I would rather start at the time when they actually went forward with the movie instead of just thinking about it.

Wow! This is some Hungarian guy doing a show at a Korean animation festival. He's using Sand to make animation in REAL TIME. Freakishly beautiful!

Opera Software has removed the banners and licensing fee of their Opera Web Browser, and it is now freeware.

I was just thinking about this a few days ago. I missed the free even where you could get Opera and I said to myself, man I wish I got it.

I like Opera and tried it out once or twice (but I wasn't ready).

I want it basically, for 2 reasons. One is that I want to be a consultant, and 2, I want to really test my site on everything (as much as possible) and I just couldn't get past those ads... yeah I know, that is silly.

This digg has 148 comments on it and counting... what they hell happened???

It take a good minute to load... here is a sneak peak at the comments:

Dude, zealots are zealots, and every camp has plenty of them. Political parties, drunkards that swear by their choice in beer, fraternities, football fans, etc.

Apple does have a bunch of zealots (not all that surprising considering they were the "underdogs" for years sort of, and over the past few years have been regaining plenty of ground - an ego booster for any crowd) - but I'd be hardpressed to call them indicative of the entire Mac-using community. - posted by manfesto (2)

If you mean "why do you use windows?", then the answer is:
It runs every possible form of obscure software I could ever possibly need (and yes, I do use alot of obscure software). It runs every piece of hardware I want to use. It's not as insecure or unstable as you'd like to think. It runs on a computer I can afford.

If OSX ran smoothly on my PC hardware and I could get it cheap, I would probably dual-boot it with windows.

OMG Thank you USA today. I couldnt have said it better. I feel this way because after using a mac at work for a number of years I feel the lack of options and upgradablity (made up word) to be apalling. I understand the reason and such. I also think that the control that steve holds over the Mac community is well scary. The "mighty mouse" for example. I have used and and it doesnt even compare to my mx700. This has nothing to do with OS's or computers, the article is referring to the brand of Apple and it's followers.

And yes, he's completely right.

Granted, everything DOES have it's die hard fans, PC's, Xbox's, Volkswagen, whatever...

The point that makes me lose respect to the apple crowd is that the vast majority are completely "blind" because they follow the brand without technical knowledge and/or reasoning, and almost entirely based on the "hip" factor.

Walk into any mac store, the majority of customers in there know jack about the difference between linux, windows, blah blah blah. What they do know is that they think Apple stuff is pretty,their best friend has one, and all the marketing they've soaked in tells them that it'll match their hydrogen car and geo-thermal house.

Apple is 25% product andd 75% branding.

I'm not putting down apple stuff. They have the best designed products on the market, and they do work well, but much of their business is the same kind of mentality that makes a 15 year old buy a $35 T shirt from Abercrombie and Fitch. - posted by wuss (0)

i have a windows pc, a mac and i occasionally mess around with different linux distros. i also have a few ipods and i prefer my mac to any pc box but the only reason why i prefer them is because they look better and work better FOR ME than anything else i've tried.- posted by virtuatony (0)
